Samhain Celebration

Pronounced saw-win, this ancient Celtic earth-based holiday marks the start of winter. We gather together to intentionally enter this time of darkness and renewal. The veil between physical and spirit realm is thin. We honor those who came before, our ancestors.

We tend this transition in community. Join an intimate evening of nourishing autumnal food and drink, a simple ceremony, and connection with the rhythm of nature.

Limited to 15 spots. RSVP required.

Samhain is free of cost and is a radical hospitality offering from Earth Unschool. If you feel moved to contribute, bring a dish to share or a donation.

The Flow

  • Plan to arrive a few minutes early. We will start at 6 pm.

  • A simple ceremony to call in ancient wisdom and honor the transition to darkness. Learn about the quiet power of Samhain.

  • We call in the support of those before us, our ancestors. And touch into the veil between realms.

  • Enjoy vibrantly healthy, organic and seasonal foods and drinks. This is an alcohol free gathering but there will be herbal drinks and tea.

  • Linger if you’d like. Sing or play instruments.

  • Pronounced saw-win, Samhain is an ancient Celtic holiday marking the start of winter and the thinning of the veil between worlds. It's a time to honor ancestors, reflect, and transition into the darker season together.

  • Just yourself. If you feel moved to contribute, bring a dish to share or a small donation. Everything else is provided.

  • Not at all. This gathering is open to everyone regardless of spiritual background. Come with curiosity and an open heart.

  • Children are welcome. This is an intimate gathering so please use your judgment about what feels right for your little ones.

  • The exact location in Park Slope, Brooklyn will be shared with you after you RSVP. But for now you can put into your map - Grand Army Plaza.
